This role is field-based. Candidates should live within a reasonable distance from the primary city.

Responsibilities:
Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, and marketing objectives.
- Create pre-call plan objectives and execute post-call evaluation to continuously improve sales performance; handle objections and gain logical calls to action to close every sales call.
- Build trusted customer relationships by proactively addressing customer needs, expectations, and challenges and achieving win-win agreements.
- Develop and execute a call plan to meet call metrics and optimize coverage/frequency to key customers.
- Build and share market intelligence on customer needs, territory landscape, competitors, segments/dynamics, accounts, and product/clinical/sales expertise with in-field team, brand team, and sales manager.
- Differentiate AbbVie’s value proposition; identify, develop, and maintain disease state experts and speakers/advocates.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or business-related field preferred; or equivalent industry experience required.
- If no bachelor’s degree: at least 5 years of experience with 3+ years in pharmaceutical/health/science (high school diploma/GED required).
- In-depth scientific/therapeutic/product/competitive knowledge; strong business acumen; strategic/critical thinking.
- Proven sales success; solid presentation skills; ability to operate in a matrix environment; innovative ideas.
- Credible role model with collaborative partnership across district/matrix teams; leadership and peer coaching experience.
- Preferred: sales performance success in relevant therapeutic areas; commercial pharmaceutical experience (physician/account-based selling, training, managed health care, or marketing); English proficiency (verbal and written for non-English speaking countries).
- Satisfy HCIR credentialing requirements to enter facilities/organizations in assigned territory; be in good standing/eligible.
- Valid driver’s license; ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and meet safe driving requirements.
