Execute brand strategy and tactics in the field, deliver sales performance, effectively manage assigned territory and targeted accounts, build strong customer relationships and customer needs-solving capability to maximize short- and long-term sales performance, and operate within AbbVie’s business code of conduct, policies, and all applicable laws and regulations.

Responsibilities:
- Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, and marketing objectives to meet or exceed goals.
- Create pre-call plans and execute post-call evaluations to continuously improve sales performance; handle objections and gain logical, reasonable calls to action to close every sales call.
- Proactively and continuously serve customer needs and challenges to build trusted relationships and achieve win-win agreements.
- Develop and execute a call plan that achieves call metrics and optimizes coverage/frequency to key customers to maximize access and sales opportunities.
- Build understanding of customer needs, territory landscape, competitors, market segments/dynamics, accounts, disease, product, and clinical/sales expertise; share market intelligence with in-field team, brand team, and sales manager to align and optimize brand strategy.
- Differentiate AbbVie’s value proposition; identify, develop, and maintain disease-state experts and speakers/advocates to maximize brand performance.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or business-related field preferred; or relevant and equivalent industry experience required.
- If no bachelor’s degree: at least 5 years’ experience (3+ years preferred) in pharmaceutical/health/science; high school diploma/GED required.
- Proven leadership and presentation skills; strong business acumen; strategic/critical thinking; proficient use of business tools.
- Ability to adapt selling approach to customer behavior; operates effectively in a matrix environment.
- Preferred: success in sales performance in respective therapeutic areas; commercial pharma experience (physician/account-based selling, training, managed health care, or marketing); in-depth scientific/therapeutic/product/competitive knowledge as an expert resource; English proficiency for non-English speaking countries.
- Satisfy all applicable HCIR credentialing requirements for assigned territory entry (may include background checks, drug screens, immunization/vaccination proof, fingerprinting) and be in good standing/eligible to obtain credentials.
- Valid driver’s license; pass pre-employment drug screening; meet safe driving requirements (may drive personal auto, company vehicle, or powered material handling equipment).
