Field-based role; candidates should live within a reasonable distance of the primary city.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, and marketing objectives.
- Create pre-call objectives and execute post-call evaluations; handle objections and close on sales calls.
- Serve customer needs and build trusted relationships; achieve win-win agreements.
- Develop and execute a call plan to meet call metrics and optimize coverage/frequency to key customers.
- Build expertise on customer needs, territory landscape, competitors, market dynamics, and share intelligence to align and optimize brand strategy.
- Differentiate AbbVie’s value proposition; identify/develop/maintain disease state experts and speakers/advocates.
Qualifications (Required/Preferred):
- Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or business-related field preferred; or 5+ years relevant industry experience with 3+ years in pharmaceutical/health/science preferred; high school diploma/GED required if no bachelor’s.
- In-depth scientific/therapeutic/product/competitive knowledge; strong business acumen and critical/strategic thinking.
- Proven sales success; strong presentation skills; effective in matrix environments; innovative problem-solving.
- Influences others; collaborative partnership; leadership/peer coaching experience.
- Preferred: sales success in respective therapeutic areas; physician/account-based selling and managed health care or marketing experience; English proficiency for non-English speaking countries.
- Essential: meet HCIR credentialing requirements to enter assigned facilities; must be in good standing/eligible.
- Valid driver’s license; ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and meet safe driving requirements.
