Field-based role—candidates should live within a reasonable distance from the primary city. Talent will be hired at a level commensurate with experience.
Responsibilities:
- Execute brand strategy and tactics in the field; effectively manage assigned territory and targeted accounts to maximize short- and long-term sales performance.
- Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, and financial/marketing objectives (meet or exceed targets).
- Create pre-call plan objectives; conduct post-call evaluations to improve performance; handle objections and close with logical calls to action.
- Build trusted customer relationships by proactively serving customer needs and securing win-win agreements.
- Develop and execute call plans to achieve call metrics and optimize coverage/frequency to maximize access and sales opportunities.
- Build and share market intelligence (customer needs, competitors, segments, accounts, disease/product/clinical and sales expertise) with in-field team, brand team, and sales manager.
- Differentiate the value proposition with assigned providers; identify, develop, and maintain disease state experts and speakers/advocates.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s in health/sciences/pharmacy/business preferred; or equivalent industry experience required (5+ years; 3+ years in pharma/health/science preferred). High school diploma/GED required.
- In-depth scientific/therapeutic/product/competitive knowledge; strong business acumen; strategic/critical thinking.
- Proven success in selling; strong presentation skills; operates effectively in a matrix environment; influences and leads by example.
- Preferred: sales performance track record in relevant therapeutic areas; physician/account-based selling, managed health care, or marketing experience.
- Essential: satisfy HCIR credentialing requirements; maintain entry eligibility.
- Valid driver’s license; ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and meet safe driving requirements.
