Responsibilities:
- Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, and marketing objectives to meet or exceed goals.
- Create pre-call plan objectives and execute post-call evaluations to continuously improve sales performance; handle objections and close calls to action.
- Build trusted customer relationships and achieve win-win agreements by serving customer needs and expectations.
- Develop and execute call plans that achieve call metrics and optimize coverage/frequency to key customers.
- Build and share market intelligence (customer needs, territory landscape, competitors, accounts, disease/product/clinical and sales expertise) with in-field team, brand team, and sales manager to align strategy.
- Differentiate AbbVie’s value proposition with assigned health providers; identify, develop, and maintain disease state experts and speakers/advocates.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or business-related field preferred; relevant/equivalent industry experience required.
- In lieu of a bachelor’s degree: at least 5 years of experience, with 3+ years in the pharmaceutical/health/science industry preferred; high school diploma/GED required.
- Proactively identify customer behavior and adapt selling approach; develop sales strategies.
- Operate effectively in a matrix environment; offer innovative solutions.
- Demonstrate in-depth scientific/therapeutic/product/competitive knowledge; strong business acumen and strategic thinking.
- Leads by example; documented success in leadership/support with increased responsibility.
- Preferred: proven sales success in relevant therapeutic areas; physician/account-based selling, training, managed health care, or marketing experience.
- Preferred: English proficiency (verbal and written) for non-English speaking countries.
Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license; ability to meet safe driving requirements; drive personal or company vehicle or powered material handling equipment.
- Must satisfy all applicable HCIR credentialing requirements to enter assigned facilities/organizations; may include background checks, drug screens, immunization proof, fingerprinting, and state/city licenses; you are responsible for compliance.
