Field-based role; candidates should live within a reasonable distance of the primary city. Talent will be hired at a level commensurate with experience.
Responsibilities
- Execute brand strategy/tactics in the field to drive sales performance, brand KPIs, and financial/marketing objectives.
- Plan and conduct customer calls; create pre-call objectives, perform post-call evaluation, handle objections, and close on calls.
- Build trusted customer relationships by proactively identifying and addressing customer needs and achieving win-win agreements.
- Develop and execute call plans to meet call metrics and optimize coverage/frequency to key customers.
- Build and share market intelligence (customer needs, territory dynamics, competitors, disease/product/clinical/sales knowledge) to align teams and optimize strategy.
- Differentiate the value proposition and identify/develop/maintain disease-state experts and speakers/advocates.
Qualifications
- Bachelorโs degree in health/sciences/pharmacy/business preferred; otherwise 5+ years relevant pharmaceutical/health/science experience (3+ years preferred) plus high school diploma/GED.
- Proven leadership and presentation skills; strong business acumen and use of business tools; strategic/critical thinking.
- Ability to adapt selling approach based on customer style/behavior; effective in a matrix environment.
- Preferred: sales success in therapeutic areas; experience with physician/account-based selling, training, managed healthcare, or marketing; in-depth scientific/therapeutic/product/competitive knowledge; English proficiency (for non-English countries).
- Must satisfy HCIR credentialing requirements to gain/maintain facility entry (may include background checks, drug screens, immunization proof, fingerprinting).
- Valid driverโs license; ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and meet safe driving requirements.
