Responsibilities:
- Execute brand strategy and tactics in the field; manage assigned territory and targeted accounts.
- Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, and marketing objectives.
- Create pre-call plans, conduct post-call evaluations, handle objections/concerns, and drive calls to action to close sales.
- Proactively serve customer needs to build trusted relationships and achieve win-win agreements.
- Develop and execute a call plan to meet call metrics and optimize coverage/frequency for key customers.
- Build knowledge of customer needs, territory landscape, competitors, market dynamics, accounts, and product/clinical expertise; share insights to optimize brand strategy.
- Differentiate AbbVie’s value proposition; identify, develop, and maintain disease state experts and speakers/advocates.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in health/sciences/pharmacy/business preferred; relevant equivalent experience required.
- If no bachelor’s: at least 5 years pharmaceutical/health/science experience (3+ years preferred) and a high school diploma/GED.
- Leadership success, strong presentation skills, business acumen, strategic/critical thinking.
- Ability to adapt selling approach; effective in a matrix environment.
- Preferred: sales performance success in relevant therapeutic areas; physician/account-based selling, managed healthcare, or marketing experience.
- Preferred: in-depth scientific/therapeutic/product/competitive knowledge; recognized as an expert.
- Preferred: English proficiency (verbal/writing for non-English speaking countries).
- Must satisfy HCIR credentialing requirements for assigned territory (e.g., background/drug screens, immunization proof, fingerprinting).
- Valid driver’s license; pass pre-employment drug screening and meet safe driving requirements.
