Field-based role; candidates should live within a reasonable distance from the primary city.

Responsibilities:
- Execute brand strategy/tactics in the field; effectively manage assigned territory and targeted accounts.
- Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, and financial/marketing objectives.
- Create pre-call plan objectives and perform post-call evaluations; handle objections and drive close actions on every sales call.
- Build trusted customer relationships by proactively serving customer needs and expectations; achieve win-win agreements.
- Develop and execute call plans to meet call metrics and optimize coverage/frequency to key customers.
- Build and share market intelligence (customer needs, territory landscape, competitors, disease/product expertise) to align brand strategy and execution.
- Differentiate AbbVie’s value proposition; identify, develop, and maintain disease-state experts and speaker/advocates.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in health/sciences/pharmacy/business preferred; relevant equivalent industry experience required.
- In lieu of degree: at least 5 years pharmaceutical/health/science industry experience (3+ years preferred) and a high school diploma/GED.
- Leadership success and strong presentation skills; business acumen and strategic/critical thinking.
- Ability to adapt selling approach; works effectively in a matrix environment.
- Preferred: success in sales within therapeutic areas; physician/account-based selling, training, managed care, or marketing experience.
- Preferred: in-depth scientific/therapeutic/product/competitive knowledge; recognized expert.
- Preferred: English proficiency verbally and in writing (for non-English speaking countries).
- Meet HCIR credentialing requirements; maintain eligibility/standing.
- Valid driver’s license; ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and meet safe driving requirements.
