This role is field-based; candidates should live within a reasonable distance from the primary city.

Responsibilities:
- Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, and marketing objectives.
- Create pre-call objectives and execute post-call evaluations; handle objections and secure calls to action to close each sales call.
- Build trusted customer relationships by serving customer needs and achieving win-win agreements.
- Develop and execute a call plan that meets call metrics and optimizes coverage/frequency to key customers.
- Build and share market intelligence (customer needs, competitors, segments/dynamics, accounts, disease/product/clinical/sales expertise) to align on and optimize brand strategy.
- Differentiate AbbVie’s value proposition with assigned health providers; identify and maintain disease-state experts and speakers/advocates.

Qualifications (Required/Preferred):
- Bachelor’s degree in health/sciences/pharmacy/business preferred; relevant equivalent industry experience required.
- If no bachelor’s degree: at least 5 years pharmaceutical/health/science experience; 3+ years preferred; high school diploma/GED required.
- In-depth scientific/therapeutic/product/competitive knowledge; strong business acumen; strategic/critical thinking.
- Adaptable selling approach; leverage insights to develop sales strategies and offer innovative solutions.
- Effective in matrix environments; strong influence and collaboration; leadership and coaching.
- Preferred: proven sales success in therapeutic areas; experience in physician/account-based selling, training, managed health care, or marketing; English proficiency verbally and in writing (for non-English-speaking countries).
- Satisfy HCIR credentialing requirements for assigned territory.
- Valid driver’s license; ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and meet safe driving requirements.
