Field-based role; candidates should live within a reasonable distance of the primary city.
Responsibilities:
- Execute brand strategy and tactics in the field; manage assigned territory and targeted accounts to maximize short- and long-term sales performance.
- Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, and marketing objectives.
- Create pre-call plan objectives and conduct post-call evaluation; handle objections and drive appropriate next steps to close each sales call.
- Build trusted customer relationships by proactively identifying and addressing customer needs and challenges; pursue win-win agreements.
- Develop and execute call plans to meet call metrics and optimize coverage/frequency.
- Understand customer and market dynamics (competitors, segments, accounts, disease/product/clinical expertise) and share intelligence with in-field/brand teams and sales manager to optimize brand strategy.
- Differentiate value proposition with assigned health providers; identify, develop, and maintain disease-state experts and speaker/advocates.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in health/sciences/pharmacy/business preferred; or equivalent industry experience required.
- In lieu of a bachelor’s degree: 5+ years experience; 3+ years in pharmaceutical/health/science preferred; high school diploma/GED required.
- Ability to adapt sales approach; operate effectively in a matrix environment.
- Strong scientific/therapeutic/product/competitive knowledge; strategic/critical thinking; business acumen.
- Preferred: proven sales performance in relevant therapeutic areas; physician/account-based selling, training, managed healthcare, or marketing experience.
- Required: satisfy HCIR credentialing requirements for facility access (background checks, drug screens, immunization proof, fingerprinting, state/city licenses as applicable); must be in good standing/eligible.
- Valid driver’s license; pass pre-employment drug screening and meet safe driving requirements.
