Role Summary

Specialty Representative, Migraine - Daytona Beach, FL. Field-based role; candidates should live within a reasonable distance from the primary city. Level hired will be commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities

  • Execute brand strategy and tactics in field, drive sales performance, manage assigned territory and targeted accounts, and build strong customer relationships to center patient needs while complying with all laws and AbbVie policies.
  • Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, and marketing objectives to meet or exceed set goals.
  • Create pre-call plans and post-call evaluations to continuously improve sales performance; handle objections and drive calls to action to close on sales calls.
  • Proactively serve customer needs and expectations to build trusted relationships and achieve win-win agreements with customers.
  • Develop and execute a call plan that achieves call metrics and optimizes coverage and frequency to key customers to maximize access and sales opportunities.
  • Continuously build understanding of customer needs, territory landscape, competitors, market dynamics, accounts, disease, product, clinical and sales expertise; share market intelligence with in-field team, brand team and sales manager to align and optimize brand strategy.
  • Differentiate AbbVie’s value proposition with health providers and identify, develop, and maintain disease state experts and speakers/advocates to maximize brand performance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy or business-related field preferred or relevant and equivalent industry experience required
  • Equivalent experience: at least five years in total with three or more years in pharmaceutical/health/science industry; high school diploma/GED required
  • Proven leadership, strong presentation skills, business acumen, and proficiency with business tools; strategic and critical thinking capabilities
  • Ability to identify customer style/behavior and adapt selling approach; operates effectively in a matrix environment
  • Preferred: proven sales success in relevant therapeutic areas
  • Preferred: experience in physician/account-based selling, training, managed health care, or marketing
  • Preferred: in-depth scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge; recognized as an expert resource by stakeholders
  • Preferred: English proficiency (verbal and written) for non-English speaking regions
  • Must satisfy HCIR credentialing requirements to access facilities and organizations within the territory; must be in good standing or eligible to obtain credentials
  • HCIR credentials may include background checks, drug screens, immunization proof, fingerprinting, and state/city licenses
  • Driving a personal auto or company vehicle; valid driver’s license and ability to pass pre-employment drug screening
