Execute brand strategy and tactics in the field; manage assigned territory and targeted accounts; build customer relationships and solve customer needs to maximize short- and long-term sales performance while placing the patient first and operating within AbbVie’s business code of conduct and applicable laws.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, and financial/marketing objectives.
- Create pre-call plans; conduct post-call evaluations; handle objections and gain logical, reasonable calls to action to close every sales call.
- Build trusted relationships; pursue win-win agreements.
- Develop and execute call plans to achieve call metrics and optimize coverage/frequency.
- Maintain market intelligence (customer needs, landscape, competitors, segments, accounts, disease, products, clinical/sales expertise) and share to align strategy and execution.
- Differentiate the value proposition; identify/develop/maintain disease-state experts and speakers/advocates.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in health/sciences/pharmacy/business preferred; or equivalent experience.
- Required experience (if no degree): 5+ years relevant industry experience; 3+ years in pharma/health/science preferred; high school diploma/GED required.
- Ability to adapt selling approach; strong business acumen; strategic/critical thinking; thrive in a matrix environment and lead/coach.
- Preferred: proven sales success in relevant therapeutic areas; physician/account-based selling/training/managed care/marketing experience; English proficiency.
- Satisfy HCIR credentialing requirements; valid driver’s license; pass pre-employment drug screening; meet safe driving requirements.
