This role is field-based; candidates should live within a reasonable distance from the primary city. Talent will be hired at a level commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities
- Execute brand strategy and tactics in the field; manage assigned territory and targeted accounts; build strong customer relationships.
- Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, and financial targets to meet or exceed objectives.
- Create pre-call plans; execute post-call evaluations; handle objections and consistently close calls to action.
- Proactively serve customer needs and build trusted relationships; achieve win-win agreements between AbbVie and customers.
- Develop and execute call plans to meet call metrics and optimize coverage/frequency for key customers.
- Build and share market intelligence (customer needs, landscape, competitors, accounts, disease/product/clinical and sales expertise) to align brand strategy execution.
- Differentiate AbbVie’s value proposition; identify, develop, and maintain disease-state experts and speakers/advocates.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in health/sciences/pharmacy/business preferred or relevant equivalent industry experience required.
- Required experience alternative: at least 5 years’ experience (3+ years in pharmaceutical/health/science) plus high school diploma/GED.
- In-depth scientific/therapeutic/product/competitive knowledge; strong business acumen and strategic/critical thinking.
- Proven sales success; strong presentation skills; works effectively in a matrix environment.
- Preferred: success in therapeutic-area sales; commercial pharma experience (physician/account-based selling, training, managed care, or marketing); English proficiency (verbal/written for non-English countries).
- Satisfy HCIR credentialing requirements for assigned territory (may include background checks, drug screens, immunization proof, fingerprinting, and specific licenses); responsible for compliance.
- Valid driver’s license; ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and meet safe driving requirements.
