Responsibilities:
- Execute brand strategy and tactics in the field; drive sales performance by managing assigned territory and targeted accounts.
- Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, and marketing objectives (meet or exceed).
- Create SMART pre-call plans and perform post-call evaluations to continuously improve performance; handle objections and drive logical calls to action to close every sales call.
- Build trusted customer relationships by proactively serving customer needs and negotiating win-win agreements.
- Develop and execute call plans to achieve call metrics and optimize coverage/frequency to key customers.
- Build and share market intelligence (customer needs, territory landscape, competitors, market dynamics, accounts, disease, product/clinical/sales expertise) with in-field team, brand team, and sales manager.
- Differentiate value proposition with assigned health providers; identify and maintain disease state experts and speakers/advocates.
Qualifications:
- Bachelorโs degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or business-related field preferred; relevant/equivalent industry experience required.
- If no bachelorโs degree: at least 5 years of experience, including 3+ years in the pharmaceutical/health/science industry preferred; high school diploma/GED required.
- Proactively identifies customer style/behavior and adapts selling approach.
- Proven success in selling; strong presentation skills; innovative problem-solving to maximize opportunities.
- In-depth scientific/therapeutic/product/competitive knowledge; strong business acumen; strategic/critical thinking; effective in matrix environments.
- Ability to influence and act as a credible role model; builds collaboration; leads by example and supports peer coaching.
- Documented leadership success with increased responsibility at district/region/organizational levels.
- Preferred: sales performance track record in relevant therapeutic areas; physician/account-based selling, training, managed health care, or marketing experience.
- English proficiency verbally and in writing (for non-English speaking countries).
- Meet HCIR credentialing requirements to access facilities in assigned territory (may include background checks, drug screens, immunization/vaccination proof, fingerprinting, and specific state/city licenses).
