Responsibilities:
- Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, and marketing objectives.
- Create pre-call plans using SMART objectives; conduct post-call evaluations to continuously improve sales performance.
- Handle objections and gain logical, reasonable calls to action to close on sales calls.
- Proactively serve customer needs and build trusted relationships and win-win agreements.
- Develop and execute call plans to meet call metrics and optimize coverage and frequency to key customers.
- Build and share market intelligence (customer needs, territory landscape, competitors, disease/product/clinical expertise) to align strategy and execution.
- Differentiate the value proposition; identify/develop disease state experts and speakers/advocates.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or business (preferred) OR equivalent relevant industry experience.
- In lieu of bachelor’s: 5+ years relevant experience; 3+ years in pharmaceutical/health/science (preferred); high school diploma/GED required.
- Proactively adapts selling approach based on customer style/behavior.
- Proven sales success track record and strong presentation skills; ability to develop sales strategies.
- In-depth scientific/therapeutic/product/competitive knowledge; strong business acumen and business tools usage; strategic/critical thinking; effective in matrix environments.
- Influences others; credible peer resource; collaborative partnership; leads by example and provides peer coaching.
- Documented leadership and support success with increased responsibility (district/region/organizational levels).
- Valid driver’s license; ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and meet safe driving requirements.
- Ability to travel to cover territory and attend training events/meetings.
- Drive personal auto or company vehicle/equipment.
- Preferred: sales success in relevant therapeutic areas; physician/account-based selling, managed health care, or marketing experience; English proficiency.
- Meet HCIR credentialing requirements to enter assigned facilities/organizations.
