Responsibilities:
- Execute brand strategy and tactics in the field; drive sales performance.
- Manage assigned territory and targeted accounts; build strong customer relationships.
- Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, and financial targets/marketing objectives to meet or exceed goals.
- Create SMART pre-call plans and perform post-call evaluations to continuously improve; handle objections and secure appropriate next steps.
- Proactively address customer needs and challenges to build trusted relationships and achieve win-win agreements.
- Develop and execute call plans to meet call metrics and optimize coverage and frequency.
- Build knowledge of customer needs, territory landscape, competitors, segments, accounts, disease, and product/clinical/sales expertise; share market intelligence with in-field team, brand team, and sales manager to optimize strategy.
- Differentiate AbbVie’s value proposition with assigned health providers; identify, develop, and maintain disease state experts and speakers/advocates.

Qualifications (Required/Preferred):
- Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or business preferred; OR relevant/equivalent experience required. Without a bachelor’s degree: 5+ years pharmaceutical/health/science experience (3+ years preferred) and high school diploma/GED required.
- Proactive, adaptable selling approach; effective in a matrix environment.
- Proven sales success and strong presentation skills; innovative ideas to address challenges.
- In-depth scientific/therapeutic/product/competitive knowledge; strong business acumen and strategic/critical thinking.
- Influences others; credible role model; collaborative partnership skills.
- Meet Health Care Industry Representative (HCIR) credentialing requirements (may include background checks, drug screens, immunization/vaccination proof, fingerprinting, and state/city licenses). Must be in good standing/eligible and is solely responsible for compliance.
- Driving: operate personal/company vehicle or powered equipment; valid driver’s license; pass pre-employment drug screening; meet safe-driving requirements.
- Preferred: sales performance within relevant therapeutic areas; physician/account-based selling, training, managed health care, or marketing experience; English proficiency verbally and in writing.
