Job Description
Execute brand strategy and tactics in field and sales performance; manage assigned territory and targeted accounts; build strong customer relationships and customer needs-solving capability to maximize short- and long-term sales performance while placing patients at the center and operating within business code of conduct, policies, and applicable laws/regulations.
Responsibilities
- Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, and financial targets/marketing objectives to meet or exceed objectives.
- Create pre-call plans using SMART objectives; execute post-call evaluation to continuously improve performance; handle objections and concerns and close sales calls.
- Proactively serve customer needs, expectations, and challenges to build trusted relationships and achieve win-win agreements.
- Develop and execute call plans to achieve call metrics and optimize coverage/frequency to maximize access and sales opportunities.
- Build and share market intelligence (customer needs, territory landscape, competitors, segments/dynamics, accounts, disease, product, clinical and sales expertise) with in-field/brand/sales manager to align strategy and optimize execution.
- Differentiate AbbVie’s value proposition with assigned health providers; identify/develop/maintain disease state experts and speakers/advocates to maximize brand performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in health/sciences/pharmacy/business preferred; or relevant equivalent industry experience required.
- If no bachelor’s degree: at least 5 years of industry experience (3+ years preferred) in pharmaceutical/health/science; high school diploma/GED required.
- Ability to identify customer style/behavior and adapt selling approach; effective in a matrix environment.
- Proven sales success and solid presentation skills; offers innovative solutions.
- In-depth scientific/therapeutic/product/competitive knowledge; strong business acumen; strategic/critical thinking.
- Credible influencer and role model; collaborative partnership with district and matrix teams.
- Meet health care industry representative (HCIR) credentialing requirements (may include background checks, drug screens, immunization/vaccination; and potentially fingerprinting and state/city licenses). Must be in good standing/eligible and is responsible for compliance.
- Driving requirements: personal/company vehicle or powered equipment; valid driver’s license; pass pre-employment drug screening and meet safe driving requirements.
This role is field-based. Candidates should live within a reasonable distance from the primary city (northern Orlando up northeast toward Palm Coast). Talent will be hired at a level commensurate with experience.
