This role is field-based. Candidates should live within a reasonable distance from the primary city. Talent will be hired at a level commensurate with experience. Geography covers: Seattle, Issaquah, Bellingham, Olympia, Alaska.

Execute brand strategy and tactics in field, deliver sales performance, manage assigned territory and targeted accounts, build strong customer relationships, and solve customer needs to maximize short- and long-term sales performance while placing the patient at the center of efforts and operating in accordance with AbbVie’s business code of conduct, policies, and applicable laws.

Responsibilities:
- Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, and marketing objectives.
- Create pre-call plans using SMART objectives; execute post-call evaluations to continuously improve performance; handle objections and close calls.
- Proactively serve customer needs/expectations/challenges to build trusted relationships and win-win agreements.
- Develop and execute a call plan to achieve call metrics and optimize coverage/frequency.
- Build understanding of customer needs, territory landscape, competitors, market dynamics, accounts, disease, products, and clinical/sales expertise; share intelligence to optimize brand strategy.
- Differentiate value proposition with assigned providers; identify and maintain disease state experts and speakers/advocates.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s in health/sciences/pharmacy/business preferred; or equivalent experience required.
- In lieu of degree: 5+ years relevant industry experience (3+ years within pharmaceutical/health/science preferred) and high school diploma/GED required.
- Proven selling success and presentation skills; adaptable selling approach; innovative ideas; anticipates/responds to changes.
- Influences others; credible role model; collaborative leadership and peer coaching.
- Documented leadership/sales strategy responsibility.
- Preferred: therapeutic area sales success; commercial pharmaceutical experience (physician/account-based selling, training, managed health care, or marketing); English proficiency (verbal/written).
- Satisfy HCIR credentialing requirements to enter assigned facilities (may include background checks, drug screens, immunization proof, fingerprinting, and state/city licenses); maintain good standing.
- Demonstrate deep scientific/therapeutic/product/competitive knowledge; strong business acumen and strategic thinking; works in matrix environments.
- Ability to drive personal or company vehicle/equipment.
- Valid driver’s license; pass pre-employment drug screening and meet safe driving requirements.
