Specialty Representative, Gastroenterology - Cleveland West

Responsibilities:
- Execute brand strategy and tactics in the field to drive sales performance.
- Manage assigned territory and targeted accounts; build strong customer relationships.
- Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, and marketing objectives.
- Create pre-call plans using SMART objectives and perform post-call evaluations; handle objections and close each sales call.
- Serve customer needs/expectations/challenges to build trusted relationships and achieve win-win agreements.
- Develop and execute call plans to meet call metrics and optimize coverage and frequency.
- Build and share market intelligence (customer needs, territory landscape, competitors, market dynamics, accounts, disease/product/clinical expertise) to optimize brand strategy execution.
- Differentiate the value proposition with assigned health providers; identify, develop, and maintain disease state experts and speaker/advocates.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or business preferred; or relevant/equivalent industry experience required.
- If no bachelor’s degree: 5+ years relevant experience; 3+ years in pharmaceutical/health/science industry preferred; high school diploma/GED required.
- Proven sales success and solid presentation skills; adapts selling approach; provides innovative solutions.
- Influences others; acts as a credible role model; collaborative partnership and peer coaching.
- Documented success in leadership/support roles with increasing responsibility; understands and leverages findings to develop sales strategies.
- Preferred: sales performance success in therapeutic areas; experience in physician/account-based selling, training, managed health care, or marketing; English proficiency (verbal and written).
- Satisfy HCIR credentialing requirements for facility access (background checks, drug screens, immunization/vaccination proof, fingerprinting, and state/city licenses as applicable); must be in good standing/eligible.
- Demonstrated scientific/therapeutic/product/competitive knowledge; strong business acumen and business tools; strategic/critical thinking; effective in matrix environments.
- Ability to drive (personal/company vehicle or powered equipment).
- Valid driver’s license; ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and meet safe driving requirements.
