Field-based role (live within a reasonable distance from Queens, NY).

Responsibilities:
- Execute brand strategy and tactics; manage assigned territory and targeted accounts to maximize short- and long-term sales performance.
- Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, and financial targets; meet/exceed marketing objectives.
- Create SMART pre-call plans and complete post-call evaluations; handle objections and consistently drive logical calls to action to close sales calls.
- Build trusted customer relationships by proactively serving customer needs and expectations.
- Develop and execute call plans to meet call metrics and optimize coverage/frequency for key customers.
- Maintain knowledge of customer needs, territory landscape, competitors, disease/product expertise; share market intelligence to align strategy and execution.
- Differentiate AbbVie’s value proposition; identify/develop/maintain disease state experts and speakers/advocates.

Qualifications (Required/Preferred):
- Bachelor’s degree in health/sciences/pharmacy/business preferred; or relevant equivalent industry experience required (≥5 years; ≥3 years in pharma/health/science preferred; high school diploma/GED).
- Proven success in selling with strong presentation skills; ability to adapt selling approach.
- Influences others; credible role model; collaborative in a matrix environment; leadership/support success.
- Preferred: therapeutic-area sales success; commercial pharma experience (physician/account-based selling, training, managed care, or marketing).
- Satisfy applicable HCIR credentialing requirements; may include background checks, drug screens, immunization proof, fingerprinting, and licenses.
- Demonstrated scientific/therapeutic/product/competitive knowledge; strong business acumen and tools.
- Valid driver’s license; ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and meet safe driving requirements.
