Role Summary

Specialty Representative, Dermatology - Las Vegas North. Field-based role serving Northern Las Vegas, Summerlin, and Northern Nevada, with responsibilities to execute brand strategy and tactics in the field, manage territory and accounts, and build strong customer relationships to maximize short and long-term sales performance.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, and marketing objectives to meet or exceed targets.
  • Create pre-call plans with SMART objectives and perform post-call evaluations to continuously improve sales performance; handle objections and secure calls to action to close on sales calls.
  • Proactively address customer needs and expectations to build trusted relationships and achieve win-win agreements between AbbVie and customers.
  • Develop and execute a call plan that achieves metrics and optimizes coverage and frequency to key customers to maximize access and sales opportunities.
  • Build knowledge of customer needs, territory landscape, competitors, market segments, disease, product, clinical and sales insights; share market intelligence with in-field team, brand team, and sales manager to align and optimize brand strategy.
  • Differentiate AbbVie’s value proposition to health providers and identify/develop disease state experts and speakers/advocates to maximize brand performance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or business-related field preferred, or equivalent industry experience.
  • At least five years of relevant industry experience if no bachelor’s degree, with three or more years in pharmaceutical/health/science industry preferred; high school diploma/GED required.
  • Proven sales success and strong presentation skills; ability to adapt selling approaches to customer styles and anticipate changes.
  • Influences others, is a credible role model, and collaborates effectively within district and matrix teams.
  • Demonstrated leadership and increased responsibility at district/region levels; able to develop sales strategies from findings.
  • Preferred: track record of sales success in therapeutic areas; pharmaceutical industry experience in physician/account-based selling, training, managed care, or marketing; English proficiency.
  • Must satisfy HCIR credentialing requirements to gain access to facilities; must be in good standing or eligible to obtain credentials.
  • Demonstrates in-depth scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge; strong business acumen; works effectively in a matrix environment.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to pass pre-employment drug screening; willingness to drive a personal or company vehicle.
