This role is field-based; candidates should live within a reasonable distance from the primary city.

Responsibilities:
- Execute brand strategy and tactics in the field; deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, and marketing objectives.
- Create pre-call plans using SMART objectives and perform post-call evaluations; handle objections and close sales calls.
- Build trusted customer relationships by proactively serving customer needs and creating win-win agreements.
- Develop and execute call plans to achieve call metrics and optimize coverage/frequency to key customers.
- Build understanding of customer needs, territory market landscape, competitors, market dynamics, disease/product knowledge, and share insights with the in-field team, brand team, and sales manager.
- Differentiate AbbVie’s value proposition; identify, develop, and maintain disease state experts and speakers/advocates.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in health/sciences/pharmacy/business preferred, or relevant/equivalent industry experience required.
- If no bachelor’s degree: at least 5 years pharmaceutical/health/science experience preferred; 3+ years preferred; high school diploma/GED required.
- Proven success in selling with solid presentation skills; adapts selling approach; offers innovative solutions.
- Influences others; credible role model; collaborative partnership and peer coaching.
- Documented success with increasing responsibility at district/region/organizational levels; develops sales strategies.
- Preferred: success in sales performance in respective therapeutic areas; physician/account-based selling, training, managed health care, or marketing preferred; English proficiency (for non-English speaking countries).
- Satisfy HCIR credentialing requirements; must be in good standing/eligible.
- Driving a personal/company vehicle or powered material handling equipment; valid driver’s license and ability to pass pre-employment drug screen.
