Role Summary

Specialty Representative, ACP - Portland, OR. Execute brand strategy and tactics in field, manage assigned territory and targeted accounts, build strong customer relationships, and solve customer needs to maximize short and long term sales performance with the patient at the center and in compliance with all laws and AbbVie policies.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, and marketing objectives to meet or exceed targets.
  • Create pre-call plans with SMART objectives and conduct post-call evaluations to continually improve sales performance; effectively handle objections to close on sales calls.
  • Serve customer needs and expectations to build trusted relationships and achieve win-win agreements between AbbVie and customers.
  • Develop and execute a call plan that achieves metrics and optimizes coverage and frequency to key customers to maximize access and sales opportunities.
  • Continuously learn about customer needs, territory landscape, competitors, market segments, accounts, disease states, products, and sales, and share insights with in-field teams and management to optimize brand strategy.
  • Differentiate AbbVie’s value proposition with health providers and develop disease state experts and speakers/advocates to maximize brand performance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy or business-related field preferred or equivalent industry experience required; high school diploma/GED required if applicable.
  • At least five years of experience in lieu of a bachelor’s degree, with three or more years in the pharmaceutical/health/science industry preferred.
  • Proactively identifies customer style/behavior and adapts selling approach accordingly.
  • Proven track record of sales success and strong presentation skills; develops innovative ideas to maximize opportunities and informs sales strategy.
  • In-depth scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge; strong business acumen and ability to operate in a matrix environment.
  • Ability to influence others and build collaborative partnerships; demonstrates leadership and positive coaching in challenging environments.
  • Documented leadership and increased responsibility at district/region/organizational levels.
  • Preferred: proven sales success in respective therapeutic areas; experience in physician/account-based selling, training, managed health care or marketing; English proficiency.
  • Must satisfy all HCIR credentialing requirements to gain entry into facilities and maintain credentials; responsible for meeting required background checks, vaccinations, fingerprinting, and licenses as applicable.

Education
