Role Summary: The Specialty Care Field Medical, Director provides therapeutic area/product expertise to external medical stakeholders (EMS) and initiatives in an assigned territory.

Role Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute independent Medical strategies and engagements within a territory, coordinating with Pfizer colleagues to meet Medical objectives.
- Maintain knowledge of relevant therapeutic area/disease states and Pfizer medicines; provide therapeutic area/product information to internal and external stakeholders.
- Serve as a conduit for Medical Information and EMS insights; share permitted external viewpoints with Pfizer.
- Contribute to Medical educational content strategy and execute aligned Field Medical tactics.
- Deliver scientific communication across channels (live/virtual presentations, written, telephone/virtual) and collaborate with HQ Medical/Medical Information and other Field Medical colleagues.
- Optimize patient care in communications/deliverables using health literacy and cultural awareness; educate external stakeholders on patient care gaps and guideline-based care.
- Conduct activities in accordance with applicable policies, procedures, and compliance guidance.

Field Medical Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver approved medical content; seek/identify scientific engagements with priority EMS segments.
- Respond to direct unsolicited medical requests with truthful, accurate, scientifically supported information per Pfizer guidance.
- Lead advisory boards (with manager oversight); field inbound queries via triage.
- Support Pfizer-sponsored clinical trials site identification (including under-represented populations); provide ISR medical support.
- Provide asset leadership; represent Medical Affairs leadership with professional associations.
- Maintain strong territory leadership; communicate with Patient Advocacy Groups in collaboration with Corporate Affairs/HQ Medical Affairs.
- Mentorship (onboarding partner, ad board and study lead mentor) and participate in special projects as needed.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a health science required.
- PharmD/PhD or equivalent terminal doctoral degree highly preferred.
- Relevant experience required: PharmD/PhD (5+ years), MBA/MSc (7+ years), BA/BSc (8+ years).
- Subject matter expert; strong oral/written and interpersonal skills; leadership, change agility, self-starter accountability, and clinical/technical capabilities.
- Ability to prioritize and manage remote projects; work effectively in matrixed teams.
- Rapid adoption of digital technology; record medical interactions.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with internal/external SOPs/rules/regulations for Pfizer/EMS interactions.
- Previous Field Medical experience.
- Experience in relevant therapeutic area (ATTR-CM or related disease areas) strongly preferred.

Work/Travel Requirements:
- Travel 40–50%; operate a Pfizer company car; regular flying to meetings.
- Valid US driver’s license; any DUI/DWI or impaired driving citation within past 7 years disqualifies.
