Role Summary
- Specialty Care Field Medical, Director provides therapeutic area/product expertise for a designated therapeutic area across external medical stakeholders and initiatives in an assigned U.S. territory.

Role Responsibilities
- Plan and execute independent medical strategies/engagements within a territory; coordinate with Pfizer colleagues.
- Maintain knowledge of relevant disease states and Pfizer medicines; provide therapeutic area/product information.
- Serve as a conduit/resource for Medical Information and external stakeholder insights; share viewpoints with Pfizer as appropriate.
- Contribute to medical educational content strategy and execute aligned field medical tactics.
- Deliver scientific communication via live/virtual presentations and written/phone communications.
- Optimize patient care improvement using health literacy and cultural awareness; follow all relevant policies and compliance guidance.
- Educate external medical stakeholders based on patient care gaps and medical strategy.

Field Medical Responsibilities
- Deliver approved medical content; seek scientific engagement with priority external stakeholders.
- Provide truthful, accurate, scientifically supported responses to unsolicited medical requests per Pfizer guidelines.
- Lead advisory boards (with manager oversight); field inbound queries via triage.
- Partner on potential clinical trial site identification, including under-represented populations.
- Support Investigator Sponsored Research (ISR); cultivate TA expertise using congress data and literature.
- Provide asset leadership; understand and communicate study design/data interpretation.
- Territory leadership; engage local Patient Advocacy Groups as appropriate.
- Mentor and participate in special projects.

Basic Qualifications (required)
- Bachelor’s degree in a health science.
- PharmD/PhD + 5+ years, or MBA/MSc + 7+ years, or BA/BSc + 8+ years.
- Demonstrated leadership, strong oral/written communication, interpersonal skills, ability to manage many remote projects, work in matrix teams, lead change, and rapidly adopt digital tools.

Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with Pfizer/external interaction SOPs/rules/regulations.
- Previous Field Medical experience.

Travel/Environment
- Travel 40–50%; operate a Pfizer car; valid U.S. driver’s license (recent DUI/DWI disqualifies).
