Role Responsibilities
- Plan and execute independent Medical strategies and engagements for assigned external medical stakeholders within a territory; coordinate compliantly with Pfizer colleagues.
- Maintain knowledge of relevant TA/disease states and Pfizer medicines; provide therapeutic area/product information to internal and external stakeholders.
- Serve as a conduit/resource for Medical Information and external stakeholder insights; share viewpoints with Pfizer as allowed.
- Contribute to Medical educational content strategy and execute aligned Field Medical tactics.
- Maintain scientific communication and collaboration with HQ Medical, Medical Information, and other Field Medical colleagues.
- Deliver expertise in scientific communication across channels (live/virtual presentations, written, telephone/virtual).
- Optimize patient care improvement using health literacy and cultural awareness.
- Ensure activities follow relevant policies/procedures/compliance guidance.
- Educate external medical stakeholders on patient care gaps aligned to medical strategy.
Field Medical Role Responsibilities
- Deliver approved medical content about Pfizer medicines in the designated therapeutic area.
- Identify/seek medical scientific engagement from priority stakeholder segments.
- Respond to direct unsolicited medical requests with truthful, accurate, scientifically supported information per Pfizer guidance.
- Lead advisory boards (BRF, Vendor) with manager oversight.
- Field inbound queries via established triage process.
- Partner with IM/SC R&D and GPD to identify clinical trial sites (including under-represented patient populations).
- Provide Medical support for ISR; cultivate research/TA expertise; provide Asset leadership.
- Communicate study design/methodology/data interpretation; lead with strong territory ownership.
- Coordinate with Patient Advocacy Groups; deliver insights; serve on cross-functional committees.
- Represent Medical Affairs with professionalism; provide mentorship; participate in special projects as needed.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelorβs degree in a health science required.
- PharmD/PhD or equivalent terminal degree highly preferred.
- Relevant experience: PharmD/PhD (5+ yrs), MBA/MSc (7+ yrs), BA/BSc (8+ yrs).
- Demonstrated leadership, subject-matter expertise, and excellent oral/written communication.
- Strong interpersonal skills and conflict management.
- Ability to manage remote projects, prioritize, and exercise sound judgment.
- Experience working in a matrixed, multi-disciplinary environment.
- Ability to lead through change; self-starter with urgency; clinical/technical skills.
- Rapid adoption of digital technology; record medical interactions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with internal/external SOPs/Rules/Regulations for Pfizer/external stakeholder interactions.
- Previous Field Medical experience.
Non-standard Work/Travel
- Travel 40β50%; operate company car; regular flying for external meetings and NYHQ meetings.
- Valid US driverβs license; no DUI/DWI or impaired driving citation within past 7 years.
