Role Summary
- Director, Specialty Care Field Medical: provides therapeutic area/product expertise for external medical stakeholders across an assigned territory (typically 1+ US states).

Role Responsibilities
- Plan and execute independent medical strategies/engagements within a territory, coordinating with Pfizer colleagues to meet medical objectives.
- Maintain knowledge of therapeutic area/disease states and Pfizer medicines; provide therapeutic area/product information.
- Act as a conduit for Medical Information and external stakeholder insights; share stakeholder viewpoints with Pfizer as appropriate.
- Contribute to medical educational content strategy and execute aligned field tactics.
- Deliver scientific communication across live/virtual, written, and phone/video channels; collaborate with HQ Medical, Medical Information, and field colleagues.
- Educate external medical stakeholders to address patient care gaps and improve guideline-based care.
- Conduct all activities per relevant policies/procedures/compliance guidance.
- Lead field medical content delivery, scientific engagements, advisory boards (with manager oversight), and response to unsolicited direct requests via triage.
- Support Investigator Sponsored Research (ISR), identify clinical trial sites (incl. under-represented populations), provide TA/asset leadership, and communicate study design/data analysis.
- Engage patient advocacy groups with appropriate partners; represent Pfizer at societies/associations; mentor and support special projects.

Basic Qualifications
- MD or DO required; 4+ years relevant experience.
- Recognized subject matter expert; strong oral/written and interpersonal skills; leadership, conflict management, change agility, self-starter/accountability, ability to work in matrixed teams and remote continuous-improvement environment.
- Ability to prioritize and manage many projects; adopt digital tools and record medical interactions.

Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with Pfizer external stakeholder SOPs/rules/regulations; previous Field Medical experience.
- Relevant therapeutic area experience (ATTR-CM or closely related diseases) strongly preferred.

Travel/Environment Requirements
- Travel 40–50%; Pfizer company car; valid US driver’s license (no impaired driving citation within past 7 years).
