Role Summary
- The Specialty Care Field Medical, Director provides therapeutic area/product expertise to external medical stakeholders and initiatives in an assigned territory.

Role Responsibilities
- Plan and execute independent medical strategies and engagements in territory, coordinating with Pfizer colleagues.
- Maintain knowledge of therapeutic area/disease states and Pfizer medicines; provide information to internal/external stakeholders.
- Serve as a conduit/resource for Medical Information and capture external stakeholder insights.
- Contribute to medical educational content strategy and execute aligned field medical tactics.
- Lead scientific communication across live/virtual presentations and discussions; use health literacy and cultural awareness to optimize patient care.
- Educate external medical stakeholders on disease understanding and guideline-based care; ensure compliance with policies/procedures.
- Achieve leadership-defined expectations for number of stakeholders engaged.

Field Medical Role Responsibilities
- Deliver approved medical content; identify/seek scientific engagement with priority external stakeholders.
- Respond to direct unsolicited medical requests with truthful, accurate, scientifically supported information per guidelines.
- Lead advisory boards (BRF, Vendor) with manager oversight; triage and respond to inbound queries.
- Support clinical trial site identification (including under-represented populations); support HQ Medical Affairs and investigators.
- Provide support throughout the Investigator Sponsored Research (ISR) process; stay current on congress and literature.
- Provide asset leadership; understand and communicate study design/data interpretation.
- Lead territory engagement, including patient advocacy groups; serve on cross-functional committees; represent Medical Affairs leadership professionally.
- Mentorship and special projects as needed.

Basic Qualifications
- MD or DO required; 4+ years relevant experience.
- Subject matter expert across internal/external stakeholders.
- Strong oral/written/interpersonal skills; leadership and collaboration in matrixed teams.
- Experience managing projects remotely; prioritization/judgment; change agility.
- Ability to adopt digital technology and record medical interactions.

Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with SOPs/rules/regulations for external medical stakeholder interactions.
- Previous Field Medical experience.
- Therapeutic area experience (ATTR-CM or closely related disease areas) strongly preferred.

Travel/Environment
- Travel 40–50%; operate Pfizer company car; valid US driver’s license.
