OBJECTIVES
- Drive demand by reinforcing the product brand and Takeda value; present products and optimize business opportunities in targeted physician offices, key clinics, and hospital accounts specializing in IBD.
- Develop and apply business processes to achieve sales goals and objectives.

ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Support account onboarding (education and procedures).
- Conduct clinical selling: deliver clinical value proposition and advance customers along a brand belief continuum.
- Provide clinical education and in-services for medical staff (e.g., infusion procedures).
- Coordinate clinical education programs for HCPs (e.g., peer-to-peer discussions).
- Manage accounts in smaller GI practices, clinics/outlets, and independent physician offices.
- Achieve territory sales goals and key metrics; execute franchise/company brand strategy and tactics.
- Build relationships with HCPs, decision makers, support staff, and influencers to support product use.
- Deliver targeted sales messages using accurate clinical information and approved materials; discuss therapeutic strategies.
- Execute local marketing strategies and build customer engagement by cultivating relationships with local decision makers.
- Present complex clinical/business information to gastroenterology HCPs and related groups.
- Develop and implement medical education and sponsor programs; stay current on disease/treatments and business environment.
- Strategically manage allocated resources (budgets, managed markets, medical affairs, home office, etc.).

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS
Required:
- BA/BS.
- 3+ years successful selling experience in pharmaceutical/biotech/medical device (5 years preferred) and/or relevant clinical/industry experience.
- Business/strategic planning skills; adaptability; strong team collaboration.
- Understanding of managed care landscape.
- Strong verbal, influencing, presentation, and written communication skills.
- Reside within or close proximity to assigned geography.

Preferred:
- Injectable/infused IBD product experience.
- Experience with complex reimbursement issues; biological launch experience.
- Experience calling on gastroenterologists and discussing therapeutic strategies.
- Experience executing local marketing strategies; 5+ years direct selling to HCPs.

TRAINING
- Mandatory product training with written/oral examinations.

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS
- Valid Driver’s License.

TRAVEL
- Drive/fly to meetings and client sites; overnight travel 25–50%.

COMPENSATION/BENEFITS (as stated)
- U.S. hourly wage range: $63.51–$87.31 (plus potential short-term incentives and listed benefits).
