Specialty Business Manager (Utah Territory) โ Gastroenterology Specialty Sales Team
Responsibilities:
- Research prospective HCPs to identify customer stakeholders (including gastroenterologists and professional/patient groups) to present complex clinical and business information.
- Use insight and consultative selling to educate HCPs and connect their needs to Takeda solutions.
- Engage in clinical discussions, execute brand strategies, maximize sales growth, coach stakeholders, and build consensus within customer organizations.
- Collaborate on routing and resource utilization to maximize footprint performance.
- Independently and collaboratively strategize to solve deal-level challenges.
- Attend company-sponsored sales and medical meetings as directed.
- Pursue ongoing learning and professional development (sales, communication, product knowledge).
- Conduct business according to regulations and policies; maintain high ethical/professional standards.
- Strategically manage allocated resources (financial/budgets, managed markets, medical affairs, home office, etc.).
Minimum Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelorโs degree (BS/BA).
- 3+ years successful selling experience in pharma/biotech/medical device and/or relevant clinical/industry experience; OR 2+ years successful selling experience at Takeda.
- Ability to discuss therapeutic strategies and influence decision makers.
- Ability to develop/apply clinical and business expertise and selling skills.
- Strong verbal, influencing, presentation, and written communication skills.
- Reside within or close proximity to assigned geography.
Preferred:
- 5+ years selling experience in pharma/biotech/medical device and/or relevant clinical/industry experience.
- Local marketing strategy execution.
- Business/strategic planning and adaptability.
- Understanding of managed care landscape.
- Collaboration/team success.
- Experience with injectable/infused IBD products.
- Experience with complex reimbursement issues.
- Biological product launch experience.
- Experience calling on gastroenterologists.
