OBJECTIVES:
- Drive demand for assigned products by reinforcing brand and Takeda value.
- Present products and optimize opportunities in targeted physician offices, key clinics, and hospital accounts specializing in IBD.
- Demonstrate excellence in business processes to achieve sales goals in the Seattle, WA territory.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Support account onboarding (education and procedures).
- Conduct clinical selling and deliver clinical value; advance customers across a brand belief continuum.
- Provide clinical education/in-services for medical staff (e.g., infusion procedures) and coordinate HCP education (e.g., peer-to-peer).
- Manage accounts in GI practices/clinics and independent physician offices.
- Meet territory sales goals and key metrics; execute brand strategy/tactics within the assigned segment.
- Build relationships with HCPs and decision makers to support use of company products.
- Develop and deliver targeted sales messages using accurate clinical information and approved materials.
- Present complex clinical/business information to gastroenterologists and other decision-making groups.
- Develop and implement medical education and sponsor programs; stay current on disease/treatment and market changes.
- Strategically manage allocated resources (budgets, managed markets, medical affairs, home office, etc.).
REQUIRED:
- BA/BS.
- 3+ years successful pharmaceutical/biotech/medical device selling and/or relevant clinical/industry experience; OR 2+ years successful selling at Takeda (5 years preferred).
- Business/strategic planning; collaboration/team success; managed care understanding.
- Strong verbal/influencing, presentation, and written communication.
- Reside within or close to assigned geography.
PREFERRED:
- Injectable/infused IBD experience; reimbursement issues; biological launch; experience calling on gastroenterologists.
- Experience discussing therapeutic strategies; local marketing execution.
- Minimum 5 years direct selling to HCPs.
TRAINING/LICENSE/TRAVEL:
- Pass mandatory product training (written/oral exams); training up to 8 hrs/day, 40 hrs/week.
- Valid driverβs license.
- Drive/fly to meetings/sites; some overnight travel (25β50%).
COMPENSATION/BENEFITS (if eligible):
- U.S. hourly wage range: $63.51β$87.31.
- May be eligible for short-term incentives and benefits (medical/dental/vision, 401(k) match, disability/life, tuition reimbursement, PTO/holidays, well-being; up to 80 sick hours/year; up to 120 hours paid vacation for new hires).
