Specialty Business Manager (Gastroenterology Specialty Sales Team) – Pittsburgh, PA territory (Pennsylvania - Virtual)

How you will contribute:
- Research prospective HCPs to identify customer stakeholders and present complex clinical/business information (including Gastroenterologists and professional/patient groups).
- Use insight and consultative selling to educate HCPs and link their needs to Takeda solutions.
- Engage in clinical discussions to discuss patients’ needs, execute brand strategies, maximize sales growth in geography, coach stakeholders, and build consensus.
- Collaborate with partners on routing and resource utilization to maximize footprint performance.
- Independently and collaboratively strategize to solve deal-level challenges.
- Attend company-sponsored sales and medical meetings as directed.
- Pursue learning/professional development in sales, communication, and product knowledge.
- Perform business in accordance with regulations/policies and maintain high ethical/professional standards.
- Strategically manage allocated resources (e.g., financial/budgets, managed markets, medical affairs, home office).

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA).
- 3+ years successful selling experience in pharmaceutical/biotech/medical device and/or relevant clinical/industry experience; OR 2+ years selling experience at Takeda.
- Ability to discuss therapeutic strategies to inform/influence decision makers.
- Ability to develop/apply clinical and business expertise and effective selling skills.
- Strong verbal, influencing, presentation, and written communication skills.
- Reside within or close proximity to assigned geography.

Preferred:
- 5 years relevant selling experience.
- Local marketing strategy execution.
- Business/strategic planning skills; adaptability to changing market conditions.
- Understanding of managed care landscape.
- Collaboration and teamwork experience.
- Experience selling injectable/infused IBD products; complex reimbursement issues; biological product launch; calling on Gastroenterologists.

Licenses/Certifications: Valid Driver’s License.

Travel Requirements:
- Ability to drive/fly; some overnight travel 25–50%.

Training Requirements:
- Successful completion of mandatory product training (written/oral exams).
