OBJECTIVES
- Drive demand for assigned IBD product by reinforcing brand and Takeda value.
- Present Takeda products and optimize business opportunities in targeted physician offices, key clinics, and hospital accounts specializing in IBD.
- Demonstrate excellence in developing and applying business processes to achieve sales goals and objectives.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Support account onboarding, including education and procedures.
- Perform clinical selling: deliver clinical value proposition and advance customers along a brand belief continuum.
- Support initial clinical education/in-services for medical staff (e.g., infusion procedures).
- Coordinate clinical education opportunities for HCPs (e.g., peer-to-peer discussions).
- Manage accounts in smaller GI practices, clinics, and independent physician offices.
- Achieve sales goals/territory metrics; execute franchise/company brand strategy and tactics.
- Build professional relationships with HCPs, decision makers, support staff, influencers; apply clinical and business expertise to support product use.
- Deliver targeted sales messages using accurate clinical information and approved materials; discuss therapeutic strategies.
- Execute local marketing strategies; build customer engagement by identifying/cultivating local decision-maker relationships.
- Present complex clinical/business information to gastroenterologists, professional/patient groups, and others involved in decisions.
- Develop and implement medical education and sponsor programs; stay current on disease/treatment and business environment.
- Strategically manage allocated resources (financial/budgets, managed markets, medical affairs, home office, etc.).
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- BA/BS.
- 3+ years successful selling in pharma/biotech/medical device (5 years preferred) and/or relevant clinical/industry experience.
- Business/strategic planning ability; adaptability.
- Strong teamwork/collaboration.
- Understanding of managed care landscape.
- Strong communication, presentation, influencing skills.
- Reside within or near assigned geography.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Injectable/infused IBD experience.
- Reimbursement experience.
- Biological product launch experience.
- Gastroenterologist calling experience.
- Therapeutic strategy discussions.
- Local marketing strategy execution.
- 5+ years direct selling to HCPs.
TRAINING
- Employment contingent on passing mandatory product training (written/oral exams).
- Some training classified as non-exempt with overtime eligibility during training; transition to exempt after successful exams.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS
- Valid Driverβs License.
TRAVEL
- Ability to drive/fly to meetings and client sites; 25β50% overnight travel.
