Specialty Business Manager (Gastroenterology Specialty Sales) β Kansas (Virtual)
How you will contribute:
- Research prospective HCPs to identify key stakeholders.
- Use consultative/insight-based selling to educate HCPs and link needs to Takeda solutions.
- Conduct clinical discussions, execute brand strategies, maximize sales growth in assigned geography; coach stakeholders and build internal consensus.
- Collaborate with partners on routing/resource utilization to maximize account footprint.
- Strategize and solve deal-level challenges independently and with others.
- Attend company-sponsored sales/medical meetings.
- Pursue ongoing learning and professional development.
- Perform business per regulations/policies; maintain high ethical/professional standards.
- Strategically manage allocated resources (e.g., budgets, managed markets, medical affairs).
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelorβs degree (BS/BA).
- 3+ years successful selling experience in pharma/biotech/medical device and/or relevant clinical/industry experience; OR 2+ years selling experience at Takeda.
- Ability to discuss therapeutic strategies and influence decision makers.
- Ability to apply clinical/business expertise and selling skills.
- Strong verbal/influencing/presentation and written communication skills.
- Reside within or close proximity to assigned geography.
Preferred:
- 5 years relevant selling experience.
- Local marketing execution; strategic planning/business acumen.
- Managed care landscape understanding.
- Team collaboration.
- Experience with injectable/infused IBD products; complex reimbursement.
- Biological product launch; calling on Gastroenterologists.
Licenses/Certifications: Valid Driverβs License.
Travel: Drive/fly to client sites; some overnight travel (25β50%).
Training: Contingent upon passing mandatory product training (written/oral exams). During training, non-exempt/eligible for overtime; after passing, transitions to exempt status.
