Specialty Business Manager IBD (Inland Empire/San Diego, CA territory)

How you will contribute
- Research prospective Health Care Professionals (HCPs) to identify customer stakeholders (e.g., Gastroenterologists) for complex clinical/business product presentations.
- Use insight and consultative selling to educate HCPs and link their needs to Takeda solutions.
- Engage in clinical discussions to address patients’ needs, execute brand strategies, maximize sales growth in the geography; coach stakeholders and build consensus.
- Collaborate on routing/resource utilization to maximize footprint performance.
- Strategize to solve deal-level challenges.
- Attend company-sponsored sales and medical meetings.
- Pursue learning/professional development in sales, communication, and product knowledge.
- Conduct business in accordance with regulations/policies; maintain high ethical/professional standards.
- Strategically manage allocated resources (financial/budgets, managed markets, medical affairs, home office, etc.).

Required qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA).
- 3+ years successful selling experience in pharma/biotech/medical device and/or relevant clinical/industry experience; or 2+ years successful selling experience at Takeda.
- Ability to discuss therapeutic strategies to inform/influence decision makers.
- Ability to develop/apply clinical and business expertise and effective selling skills.
- Strong verbal, influencing, presentation, and written communication.
- Live within or close proximity to assigned geography.

Preferred qualifications
- 5 years relevant selling experience.
- Local marketing strategy execution.
- Business/strategic planning; adaptability to market changes.
- Understanding of managed care landscape.
- Collaboration/team success.
- Experience with injectable/infused IBD products.
- Experience managing/communicating complex reimbursement issues.
- Biological product launch experience.
- Experience calling on Gastroenterologists.

Licenses/Certifications: Valid Driver’s License
Travel requirements: Drive/fly to meetings and client sites; some overnight travel (25–50%).
Training requirements: Contingent on passing mandatory product training (written/oral exams).
