Responsibilities:
- Research prospective HCPs to identify customer stakeholders.
- Use consultative selling to educate HCPs and link insights to Takeda solutions.
- Conduct clinical discussions to address patients’ needs, execute brand strategies, maximize sales growth in assigned geography, coach stakeholders, and build consensus.
- Collaborate with partners on routing and resource utilization.
- Independently and collaboratively strategize to solve deal-level challenges.
- Attend company-sponsored sales and medical meetings.
- Pursue learning and professional development (sales, communication, and product knowledge).
- Conduct business per all regulations/policies with high ethical and professional standards.
- Strategically manage allocated resources (financial/budgets, managed markets, medical affairs, home office, etc.).
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA).
- 3+ years successful selling experience in pharma/biotech/medical device and/or relevant clinical/industry experience; or 2+ years selling experience at Takeda.
- Ability to discuss therapeutic strategies and influence decision makers.
- Ability to apply clinical/business expertise and selling skills.
- Strong verbal, influencing, presentation, and written communication.
- Reside within or close proximity to assigned geography.
Preferred:
- 5+ years relevant selling experience; local marketing strategy execution; managed care understanding; team collaboration.
- IBD injectable/infused product experience; complex reimbursement issues; biological launch experience; experience calling on Gastroenterologists.
Licenses/Certifications: Valid Driver’s License.
Travel: Drive/fly to meetings/sites; some overnight travel (25–50%).
Training: Pass mandatory product training (written/oral exams). Training period may include non-exempt classification and overtime eligibility only during training; after passing, transition to exempt status and eligibility for sales incentives/contests.
