OBJECTIVES
- Drive demand for assigned products by reinforcing the product brand and Takeda value.
- Present Takeda’s products and optimize business opportunities in targeted physician offices, key clinics, and hospital accounts specializing in IBD.
- Demonstrate excellence in developing and applying business processes to achieve sales goals and objectives.

ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Support account onboarding, education, and procedures.
- Conduct clinical selling (deliver clinical value proposition; advance customers across a brand belief continuum).
- Provide clinical education and in-services for medical staff (e.g., infusion procedures).
- Coordinate clinical education opportunities for HCPs (e.g., peer-to-peer discussions).
- Manage accounts in smaller GI practices/clinics and independent physician offices.
- Achieve territory sales goals and key metrics; execute brand strategy tactics within the assigned customer segment.
- Build relationships with healthcare providers, decision makers, support staff, and influencers.
- Develop and deliver targeted sales messages using accurate clinical information and approved materials; discuss therapeutic strategies.
- Execute local marketing strategies and build customer engagement by cultivating relationships with local decision makers.
- Present complex clinical/business information to gastroenterology HCPs and other decision groups.
- Develop and implement medical education opportunities and sponsor programs; stay current on disease states, treatments, and business environment.
- Strategically manage allocated resources (financial/budgets, managed markets, medical affairs, home office, etc.).

REQUIRED
- BA/BS.
- 3+ years successful selling experience in pharma/biotech/medical device (5 years preferred) and/or relevant clinical/industry experience.
- Business/strategic planning skills; adaptability to market changes.
- Team collaboration.
- Understanding of managed care landscape.
- Strong verbal, influencing, presentation, and written communication.
- Reside within or close proximity to assigned geography.

PREFERRED
- Experience with injectable/infused IBD products.
- Experience managing complex reimbursement issues.
- Biological product launch experience.
- Experience calling on Gastroenterologists.
- Experience discussing therapeutic strategies.
- Experience executing local marketing strategies.
- Minimum 5 years direct selling to HCPs.

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION
- Valid Driver’s License.

TRAVEL
- Drive/fly to meetings and client sites; 25–50% overnight travel.

TRAINING REQUIREMENTS
- Pass mandatory product training with written/oral examinations.

- U.S. Hourly Wage Range: $63.51–$87.31.
