Specialty Business Manager (Chicago South territory) — Specialty Sales Team driving product demand in targeted physician offices, key clinics, and hospital accounts.

How you will contribute:
- Research prospective HCPs to identify customer stakeholders (e.g., Gastroenterologists) and professional/patient groups.
- Use insight and consultative selling to educate HCPs and connect industry perspectives to Takeda solutions.
- Conduct clinical discussions to address patients’ needs, execute brand strategies, maximize sales growth in geography; coach stakeholders and build consensus.
- Collaborate with partners on routing and resource utilization to maximize overall footprint performance.
- Strategize to solve deal-level challenges.
- Attend company-sponsored sales and medical meetings as directed.
- Pursue learning and professional development (sales, communication, product knowledge).
- Perform business in accordance with regulations/policies and demonstrate high ethical and professional standards.
- Strategically manage allocated resources (financial/budgets, managed markets, medical affairs, home office, etc.).

Training requirements:
- Employment contingent upon passing mandatory product training (written and oral exams).
- Training period includes live instruction/independent study/role play (no more than 8 hours/day; 40 hours/week).

Licenses/Certifications:
- Valid Driver’s License.

Travel requirements:
- Drive and/or fly to meetings/client sites; some overnight travel (25–50%).

Minimum requirements/qualifications:
- Required: Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA); 3+ years successful selling experience in pharma/biotech/med device (or relevant clinical/industry experience), OR 2+ years selling at Takeda.
- Ability to discuss therapeutic strategies; develop/apply clinical and business expertise and effective selling skills.

Preferred:
- 5 years selling experience; execution of local marketing strategies; business/strategic planning; managed care knowledge; collaboration; injectable/infused IBD experience; complex reimbursement issues; biological product launch; experience calling on Gastroenterologists; strong verbal/influencing/presentation/written communication; reside within/close to assigned geography.
