Specialty Business Manager (Gastroenterology) β€” Baton Rouge, LA territory

How you will contribute:
- Research prospective HCPs to identify stakeholders for presenting complex clinical and business information (Gastroenterologists and professional/patient groups).
- Use insight and consultative selling to educate HCPs and link needs to Takeda solutions.
- Conduct clinical discussions to address patient needs, execute brand strategies, and maximize sales growth; coach stakeholders and build consensus.
- Collaborate with partners on routing and resource utilization to improve footprint performance.
- Independently and collaboratively strategize to solve deal-level challenges.
- Attend company-sponsored sales/medical meetings.
- Pursue learning and professional development in sales, communication, and product knowledge.
- Conduct business per regulations/policies with high ethical and professional standards.
- Strategically manage allocated resources (financial/budgets, managed markets, medical affairs, home office, etc.).

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA).
- 3+ years successful selling experience in pharma/biotech/medical device and/or relevant clinical/industry experience; OR 2+ years successful selling experience at Takeda.
- Ability to discuss therapeutic strategies to influence decision makers.
- Ability to develop/apply clinical & business expertise and selling skills.
- Strong verbal, influencing, presentation, and written communication.
- Reside within or close proximity to assigned geography.

Preferred:
- 5 years experience; local marketing strategy execution.
- Business/strategic planning; understanding of managed care landscape.
- Collaboration/team success.
- Experience with injectable/infused IBD products; complex reimbursement; biological launch.
- Experience calling on Gastroenterologists.

Licenses/Certifications:
- Valid Driver’s License

Travel Requirements:
- Drive/fly to meetings and client sites; some overnight travel (25–50%).

Training Requirements:
- Must pass mandatory product training (written/oral exams). Initial non-exempt status with overtime eligibility during training; after successful exams, transition to exempt status.
