About the Role
Dermatology Specialty Business Manager (SBM) drives demand after potential regulatory approval through education. Educates healthcare providers (HCPs) and optimizes business opportunities in dermatology-focused physician offices, clinics, and hospital accounts. Demonstrates excellence in business processes that support patients and achievement of sales goals.
Responsibilities
- Support account onboarding through education.
- Perform clinical selling: deliver clinical value proposition and advance customers across a brand educational continuum.
- Support initial clinical and patient access education for medical staff.
- Coordinate and support clinical education (e.g., peer-to-peer) for HCPs.
- Conduct account management in dermatology practices/clinics/outlets and independent physician offices.
- Attain territory sales goals and metrics; execute franchise/company brand strategy.
- Build relationships with HCP decision makers and stakeholders to support safe/effective use.
- Develop and deliver targeted sales messages using approved materials.
- Execute local marketing strategies; build customer engagement via local education.
- Present complex clinical/business information and patient support services.
- Develop and implement medical education opportunities and sponsor programs.
- Strategically manage allocated resources (budgets, managed markets, medical affairs, etc.).
- Follow compliance policies and training.
Minimum Requirements (Required)
- BA/BS.
- 3+ years successful selling experience in pharma/biotech/medical device and/or relevant clinical/industry experience, OR 2+ years selling experience at Takeda.
- Dermatologist/Dermatology calling experience (highly preferred).
- Business/strategic planning; managed care understanding.
- Strong communication, influencing, presentation, and writing skills.
- Collaboration/team success.
- Reside within or close to assigned geography.
Preferred
- 5+ years direct selling to HCPs.
- Experience calling on Dermatologists.
- Experience managing complex reimbursement issues.
License/Travel
- Valid Driverβs License; ability to drive/fly; 25β50% overnight travel possible.
Training
- Must pass mandatory product training (written/oral). Training may be non-exempt; overtime eligibility limited to training period.
Compensation/Benefits (Oregon β Virtual)
- U.S. hourly wage range: $63.51β$87.31.
- May include short-term incentives and medical/dental/vision, 401(k) match, disability, life insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid leave, and well-being benefits; up to 80 hours sick time and up to 120 hours paid vacation for new hires (as described).
