About the Role:
The Dermatology sales force drives demand following potential regulatory approval through education. Responsibilities include educating healthcare providers (HCPs) and optimizing business opportunities in targeted physician offices, key clinics, and hospital accounts in Dermatology. The Specialty Business Manager (SBM) develops and applies business processes to benefit patients and achieve sales goals.
How you will contribute:
- Support account onboarding through education.
- Conduct clinical selling: deliver the clinical value proposition and advance customers across a brand educational continuum.
- Support initial clinical and patient access education for medical staff.
- Coordinate clinical education opportunities/programs for HCPs (e.g., peer-to-peer education).
- Perform account management in Dermatology practices, clinics, outlets, and independent physician offices.
- Attain sales goals and key metrics in the assigned territory.
- Build relationships with HCP decision makers and stakeholders to support safe/effective product use.
- Develop and deliver targeted sales messages using approved materials; discuss therapeutic strategies.
- Execute local marketing strategies and build customer engagement.
- Present complex clinical/business information to Dermatologists and other decision-making groups.
- Develop and implement medical education opportunities and sponsor programs; stay current on disease states/treatments.
- Strategically manage allocated resources.
- Follow compliance policies, guidelines, and training; seek clarification when needed.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
Required:
- BA/BS.
- 3+ years successful selling experience in pharmaceutical/biotech/medical device and/or relevant clinical/industry experience; OR 2+ years successful selling experience at Takeda.
- Experience calling on Dermatologists (highly preferred).
- Business/strategic planning skills; adaptability to market conditions.
- Understanding of managed care landscape.
- Strong verbal, influencing, presentation, and written communication skills.
- Strong collaboration skills.
- Reside within or close proximity to assigned geography.
Preferred:
- 5+ years direct selling to HCPs in pharma/biotech/device/healthcare and/or relevant experience.
- Experience calling on Dermatologists.
- Experience managing/communicating complex reimbursement issues.
Travel Requirements:
- Drive and/or fly to accounts; occasional business meetings; overnight travel up to 25β50% (as needed).
Training Requirements:
- Employment contingent on passing mandatory product training (written and oral exams).
- External hires during training: non-exempt, eligible for overtime during training only; no sales incentives/production bonuses during training.
- Training includes live instruction, independent study, role play; up to 8 hours/day and 40 hours/week.
- After passing exams: transition to exempt status; eligible for sales incentives/contests; bi-weekly pay.
Compensation/Benefits (if explicitly stated):
- U.S. hourly wage range: $63.51β$87.31.
- May be eligible for short-term incentives.

- Up to 80 hours sick time/year; up to 120 hours paid vacation for new hires (accrual).
