Role Summary

Specialty Account Specialist - Respiratory in Westchester, NY / New York, NY (Open). Territory includes Westchester County, NY, New York City and Southern Connecticut. Relocation assistance not provided.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Scientific Knowledge, Business Acumen, and Customer Engagement expertise to specialist customers in support of a GSK biologic product.
  • Understand the reimbursement/distribution landscape for specialist customers and identify appropriate resources to refer customers for reimbursement and distribution choices, always working within GSK guidelines and values.
  • Maintain knowledge and data related to severe asthma therapeutic expertise.
  • Provide product educational programs/in-services to customers.
  • Work within Compliance guidelines and GSK values.
  • Develop strategies and tactics to generate sales.
  • Develop and implement account-specific strategies (e.g., Allergists, Pulmonologists, nurses, PAs, office managers).
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with Marketing, Payer Relations Managers (Market Access), Medical (MSLs), and other functions within GSK.
  • Effectively manage allocated resources (financial).
  • Provide outstanding customer service by responding to customer requests, inquiries and needs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelorโ€šร„รดs degree
  • Ability to travel domestically as necessary, up to 30% overnight in some territories
  • Valid driverโ€šร„รดs license; ability and willingness to drive or operate a vehicle
  • The selected candidate will be hired at the appropriate level based on experience
    • Specialty Account Specialist (grade 8): 5+ years of pharmaceutical/medical device experience
    • Senior Specialty Account Specialist (grade 7): 12+ years of pharmaceutical/medical device experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Specialty products that utilize Buy & Bill or specialty pharmacy distribution modes
  • Expertise in working with Payer Reimbursement Managers
  • Biologic/Rare Disease/Respiratory sales experience
  • Experience selling in IDN systems
