Position Summary: Field-based Specialty Account Specialist on the specialty respiratory team supporting specialist healthcare providers across assigned territory (MA: Fall River, Cape Cod, Taunton, Brockton, Attleboro, Milford, Marlborough, Framingham, Barnstable, Hyannis, Falmouth; ideal candidate resides within territory, RI, southern Boston suburbs or surrounding areas).
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain relationships with pulmonologists, allergists, nurse specialists, and practice managers.
- Deliver clear, evidence-based clinical education/support.
- Identify reimbursement and distribution needs; connect customers with appropriate support resources.
- Develop tailored account plans/tactics to drive patient access and service.
- Partner with cross-functional teams (market access, medical affairs, marketing).
- Follow compliance and ethical guidelines.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelorβs degree from an accredited institution.
- Experience engaging specialty healthcare providers in respiratory/related therapeutic areas.
- Travel domestically (occasional overnight up to 30%).
- Valid driverβs license; willingness to drive as required (no relocation assistance).
- Hiring level based on experience:
- Specialty Account Specialist (grade 8): 5+ years pharmaceutical/medical device experience.
- Senior Specialty Account Specialist (grade 7): 12+ years pharmaceutical/medical device experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Buy & Bill or specialty pharmacy distribution experience.
- Payer reimbursement/market access exposure.
- Background in biologics/rare disease/immunology or respiratory/pulmonology sales.
- IDN/hospital systems sales; infusion; specialty pharmacy.
- Account planning with measurable outcomes; comfort in remote role with occasional in-person/hybrid.
Work Arrangement/Location: On-site in assigned territory; regular in-territory travel; driving required.
Compensation & Benefits (US): Base salary $138,000β$230,000; annual bonus; eligibility for share-based long-term incentive; health/insurance, retirement, paid holidays, vacation, paid caregiver/parental and medical leave.
