Role Summary

Specialty Account Specialist - Respiratory - Columbia, SC or Charleston, SC. This role focuses on providing scientific knowledge, business acumen, and customer engagement to specialist customers in support of a GSK biologic product, with responsibilities to develop and implement strategies to generate sales and manage resources, while ensuring compliance with guidelines and company values.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Scientific Knowledge, Business Acumen, and Customer Engagement expertise to specialist customers in support of a GSK biologic product.
  • Understand the reimbursement/distribution landscape for specialist customers and refer to appropriate resources for reimbursement and distribution choices, within GSK guidelines and values.
  • Maintain knowledge and data related to severe asthma therapeutic expertise.
  • Provide product educational programs/in-services to customers.
  • Work within Compliance guidelines and GSK values.
  • Develop strategies and tactics to generate sales.
  • Develop and implement strategies specific to each customer within an account (e.g., Allergists, Pulmonologists, PA/NPs, Biologic Coordinators, Nurses, Business/Office Managers).
  • Maintain strong relationships with Marketing, Payer Relations Managers (Market Access), Medical (MSLs), and other functions within GSK.
  • Effectively manage allocated resources (i.e., financial).
  • Provide outstanding customer service by responding to customer requests and inquiries.

Qualifications

  • Bachelorโ€šร„รดs degree
  • Ability to travel domestically as necessary, which may include overnight travel up to 30%
  • Valid driverโ€šร„รดs license; must be able and willing to drive or operate a vehicle โ€šร„รฌ driving is an essential function
  • The selected candidate will be hired at the appropriate level based on experience
    • Specialty Account Specialist (grade 8): 5+ years of pharmaceutical/medical device experience
    • Senior Specialty Account Specialist (grade 7): 12+ years of pharmaceutical/medical device experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Specialty Products that utilize the Buy & Bill or Specialty pharmacy modes of distribution
  • Expertise in working with Payer Reimbursement Managers
  • Biologic/Rare Disease/Respiratory Sales experience
  • Experience selling in IDN Systems
