Role Summary

Specialty Account Specialist - Respiratory - Cambridge, MA. This role provides Scientific Knowledge, Business Acumen, and Customer Engagement expertise to specialist customers in support of a GSK biologic product, with emphasis on understanding reimbursement and distribution landscape and delivering product education and strategic account plans.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Scientific Knowledge, Business Acumen, and Customer Engagement expertise to specialist customers in support of a GSK biologic product.
  • Understand the reimbursement/distribution landscape for specialist customers and refer to appropriate resources for reimbursement and distribution choices, within GSK guidelines and values.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of severe asthma therapeutic areas.
  • Provide product educational programs/in-services to customers.
  • Work within Compliance guidelines and GSK values.
  • Develop strategies and tactics to generate sales.
  • Develop and implement customer-specific strategies within accounts (e.g., Allergists, Pulmonologists, nurses, PAs, office managers).
  • Develop and maintain relationships with Marketing, Payer Relations Managers, Medical (MSLs), and other functions within GSK.
  • Effectively manage allocated resources (financial).
  • Provide outstanding customer service by responding to customers' requests and inquiries.

Qualifications

  • Bachelorโ€šร„รดs degree
  • Ability to travel domestically as necessary, which may include overnight travel up to 30%
  • Valid driverโ€šร„รดs license; ability to drive or operate a vehicle is essential
  • Specialty Account Specialist (grade 8): 5+ years of pharmaceutical/medical device experience
  • Senior Specialty Account Specialist (grade 7): 12+ years of pharmaceutical/medical device experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Specialty products utilizing Buy & Bill or Specialty pharmacy distribution modes
  • Expertise with Payer Reimbursement Managers
  • Biologic/Rare Disease/Respiratory sales experience
  • Experience selling in IDN systems
