Specialty Account Specialist (Immunology) - Reading, PA

Territory: Covers the greater Reading, PA area and surrounding area. (Relocation assistance not provided.)
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide scientific knowledge, business acumen, and customer engagement expertise to specialist customers in support of a GSK biologic product.
- Understand the reimbursement/distribution landscape and refer customers to appropriate resources (e.g., Payer Relations Managers, HUB, HQ-approved materials) for reimbursement and distribution choices, following GSK guidelines and values.
- Maintain deep therapeutic knowledge of Immunology disease states (including rheumatologic and nephrology conditions) and translate clinical insights into customer engagements.
- Deliver product education programs/in-services to customers.
- Work within compliance guidelines and GSK values.
- Develop sales strategies and tactics.
- Develop and implement account strategies for customer segments (nurses, mid-levels, business/office managers).
- Build strong relationships with Marketing, Payer Relations Managers (Market Access), Medical (MSLs), and other GSK functions.
- Effectively manage allocated resources.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding to requests, inquiries, and needs.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelorโs degree from an accredited institution.
- Ability to travel domestically as necessary (up to 20% overnight, depending on territory).
- Valid driverโs license; ability/willingness to drive (driving is essential).
- Hiring level based on experience:
- Specialty Account Specialist (grade 8): 5+ years in pharmaceutical/medical device experience.
- Senior Specialty Account Specialist (grade 7): 12+ years in pharmaceutical/medical device experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Buy & Bill or specialty pharmacy distribution.
- Expertise working with Payer Reimbursement Managers.
- Experience calling on rheumatologists and other specialty providers.
- Sales success in rheumatology, immunology, or nephrology.
- Experience with large integrated health systems (IDNs).
Work Arrangement: Field-based; regular travel within the territory and occasional travel beyond. Driving is essential.
