Key Responsibilities:
- Provide scientific knowledge, business acumen, and customer engagement expertise to specialist customers supporting a GSK biologic product.
- Understand reimbursement/distribution landscape for specialist customers and refer customers to appropriate resources (e.g., Payer Relations Managers, HUB, approved materials) for reimbursement/distribution choices while following GSK guidelines and values.
- Maintain knowledge and data on Lupus and Lupus Nephritis therapeutic expertise.
- Provide product educational programs/in-services to customers.
- Work within compliance guidelines and GSK values.
- Develop sales strategies and tactics.
- Develop and implement customer-specific strategies (e.g., nurses, mid-levels, business/office managers).
- Build and maintain relationships with Marketing, Payer Relations Managers (Market Access), Medical (MSLs), and other internal functions.
- Manage allocated resources.
- Provide customer service by responding to customer requests, inquiries, and needs.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelorโs degree from an accredited institution.
- Ability to travel domestically as necessary (up to 20% overnight travel in some territories).
- Valid driverโs license; driving/vehicle operation is essential.
- Hire level based on experience:
- Specialty Account Specialist (grade 8): 5+ years pharmaceutical/medical device experience.
- Senior Specialty Account Specialist (grade 7): 12+ years pharmaceutical/medical device experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Buy & Bill or Specialty pharmacy distribution.
- Expertise working with Payer Reimbursement Managers.
- Biologic/Rare Disease/Immunology sales experience.
Work Arrangement:
- Field-based role; most work in territory; regular travel within territory and occasional beyond. Driving is essential.
