Specialty Account Manager โ TAVNEOS
What You Will Do
- Represent Tavneos to physicians and healthcare professionals to establish product demand and provide comprehensive account management within a designated territory.
- Serve as a central point of contact and provide education on disease state awareness and product information to support optimal patient care.
- Drive product utilization by identifying and addressing unique needs of each account, building relationships, coordinating cross-functional field teams, and executing strategies to ensure access, education, and support for rare disease treatments.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive territory business plan to achieve and exceed sales objectives.
- Promote Tavneos within approved labeling in a fair, balanced, and ethical manner in accordance with corporate and industry compliance guidelines.
- Provide patient-centered education to healthcare professionals on disease state and product information.
- Build and manage relationships with stakeholders across the patient care ecosystem (physicians, nurses, office staff, case managers, infusion centers, caregivers).
- Engage across diverse healthcare delivery settings (private practices, academic institutions, IDNs, community hospitals, specialty clinics).
- Identify and address patient access, reimbursement, and pull-through challenges through cross-functional collaboration.
- Coordinate internal matrix teams (e.g., MSLs, Market Access, Nurse Educators, TLLs) to deliver integrated, account-specific solutions.
- Lead or support referral networks and site-of-care pathways for patient initiation and continuity of care.
- Build relationships with local and regional KOLs to expand reach and influence.
- Provide field insights and market intelligence to inform strategy and resource planning.
- Use approved tools, peer education programs, and digital engagement channels to extend reach.
- Maximize promotional resources and operate within assigned territory budget.
- Represent the company at medical congresses, society meetings, and educational events.
- Complete training and administrative responsibilities timely and accurately while upholding company policies.
Basic Qualifications (Specialty Account Manager โ Level 5)
- Doctorate degree and 2 years of collective account management, sales, and commercial experience
OR
- Masterโs degree and 6 years of collective account management, sales, and commercial experience
OR
- Bachelorโs degree and 8 years of collective account management, sales, and commercial experience
OR
- Associate degree and 10 years of collective account management, sales, and commercial experience
Preferred Qualifications / Required Skills
- Success in reimbursement navigation, site-of-care education, and/or patient access coordination.
- Experience promoting products requiring coordination with office staff, infusion centers, and patient services teams.
- Experience in or with Rheumatology and Nephrology (strongly preferred).
- Familiarity with Tavneos (infused therapies, buy-and-bill products, products under medical benefit) (highly desired).
- Experience engaging administrators (community practices, academic centers, IDNs, hospital systems).
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a matrix environment with cross-functional roles (e.g., Market Access, Patient Services, MSLs, Nurse Educators, TLLs, Field Reimbursement).
- Knowledge of payer policies/reimbursement/managed markets; negotiation of access or formulary navigation preferred.
- Ability to build customer relationships and educate on complex disease states with tailored communication.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication; able to communicate with clinical and administrative stakeholders.
- Self-motivation, initiative, and adaptability in fast-paced/ambiguous environments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and virtual communication tools.
- Ability to travel up to ~80% (including occasional overnight/weekend travel).
