Medical Affairs
Main Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with PSPV stakeholders to ensure a compliant, efficient signal management process, accounting for interdependencies with other PV and cross-functional activities.
- Manage processes and systems for routine signal detection and tracking of signal assessment.
- Monitor the external environment (regulations, literature, professional societies) to identify insights and innovations for the signal management system.
- Partner with Digital teams to administer, improve, and implement digital systems for signal detection and management.
- Evaluate signal detection data sources, methods, and tools to enhance safety surveillance processes and systems.
- Provide training and ongoing support to roles executing signal detection/signal management (e.g., Global Safety Officers, Pharmacovigilance Scientists, Therapeutic Area Heads, Country Safety Heads).
- Coordinate and oversee outsourced PV activities (e.g., maintenance of signal detection schedules; business administration of systems).

Qualifications / Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a pharmaceutical/biotech or other regulated environment.
- Ability to evaluate, interpret, and communicate scientific data.
- Experience implementing process improvement initiatives, including CAPAs.
- Working knowledge of pharmacovigilance and drug safety practices, including US and EU regulatory requirements.

Required/Preferred Skills:
- Team-oriented, cross-functional communication; self-motivated and able to prioritize impact.
- Ability to influence across stakeholder groups and levels.
- Working knowledge of data processing software and database systems; ability to map/analyze/measure processes.
- Strategic thinker assessing interconnected activities/systems; proficiency with MS applications.

Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare, life sciences, or STEM discipline.
- Preferred: Doctor of Pharmacy, Master of Science, or PhD.
- Business proficiency in English.
