Job Responsibilities:
- Provide primary support and point of contact for tactical trade compliance functions.
- Work daily with Regeneron’s Customs Brokers for trade compliance.
- Serve as liaison for Customs (CBP), FDA, and USDA, including issue resolution.
- Review, validate, and confirm US HTS and export commodity control classifications (ECCN) for formulated drug substance products and raw materials; collaborate with internal teams, brokers, and vendors/partners.
- Ensure trade compliance best practices are followed; advise business of regulatory changes and updates.
- Manage and update Export and Import Trade Compliance Manuals.
- Assist with export/import permits: conduct classification research to determine licensing/permit needs and complete applications.
- Create trade compliance SOPs as needed.
- Provide professional customer service to internal/external stakeholders.
- Provide periodic Trade Compliance training to the business.
- Approximately 5% travel required.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of export/import procedures and permit applications (ideally in the pharmaceutical industry).
- Ability to handle customs and entry issues and escalate as required.
- Ability to manage relationships with customs brokers and cross-functional teams.
- Current knowledge of trade compliance best practices.
- Licensed Customs Broker (preferable).
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Experience: Analyst (2+ years) or Senior Analyst (5+ years); may consider equivalent education/experience.
- Customs brokerage experience and/or trade compliance practices with exporter/importer in chemical and/or FDA-regulated industry.
